The City of Commerce Municipal Code requires that you obtain a license when you conduct any business activity within the City, even if your business is located outside of the city limits or if you have a business license from another city.
Annual licenses shall be due and payable to the city on the first day of January of each year.
No license or permit issued hereunder shall be transferred or assigned, nor shall such be construed as authorizing any person other than the licensee or permittee, to engage in the licensed business.
